Annapolis, MD. – Febuary 23, 2021 – The Partnership for Quality Medical Donations (PQMD), is proud to announce the addition of USP to their membership. The non-profit organization, which celebrated its 200th Anniversary in 2020, brings PQMD’s membership to 42 member NGOs and Corporations.
“Access to quality-assured medicines and other health commodities is fundamental to achieving better health outcomes and making long-term progress against global health’s most pressing challenges,” says Gersande Chavez, USP’s Vice President of Global Health Programs. “With our unwavering commitment to quality, we are thrilled to be joining PQMD and it’s coalition of partners to help ensure people everywhere have access to quality health commodities.”
USP is an independent, scientific nonprofit organization focused on building trust in the supply of safe, quality medicines. USP works to strengthen the global supply chain so that the medicines people rely on for health are available when needed and work as expected. Through its global public health programs, USP strengthens health systems, bolsters supply chain resiliency, and champions access to quality medical products in low- and middle-income countries.
