ANNAPOLIS, Md.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–The Partnership for Quality Medical Donations (PQMD), a global collaboration that promotes sustainable access to quality health care in underserved communities and populations in crisis, is hosting a virtual Global Health Policy Forum on April 27-29, 2021. The event will feature presentations by leading public and private health experts and interactive sessions spanning critical and timely topics related to universal access to global health as we approach a new normal, ensuring sustainable access to quality health care through public/private partnerships and the global response to the COVID-19 pandemic, including access and equity of vaccine distribution.

“The pandemic has exposed perilous gaps in global access to adequate health services,” said EJ Ashbourne, PQMD’s Executive Director. “As we take our initial steps towards a new normal, closer collaboration between the public and private sectors will be essential. To address these imperatives, PQMD has assembled an impressive roster of forward-thinking experts at our upcoming event. We’ll explore the hallmarks of future sustainable, resilient health systems, taking what we learned from the pandemic to address many other diseases and health care challenges. I look forward to a robust and productive discussion as we tackle some of the most challenging aspects of public health the world is currently facing and will be for years to come.”

Forum attendees will also explore how public and private sectors will need to consider financing universal access and global health and discuss the impact of ESG – a new investment strategy for global philanthropy that marries metrics on environment, social and governance with access and equity.
