Director, Corporate Engagement & Strategy
Tom Roane is Director of Corporate Engagement & Strategy at Direct Relief. He has 25 years’ experience in establishing and managing medical access programs both in the USA and in the developing world. With a background in international relations and extensive management experience with both for-profit and non-profit medical corporations, Roane has developed creative and impactful programs that have opened opportunities to care for those with cancer, rare disease, and other non-communicable diseases.
A graduate of Texas A&M University (B.A.) and Louisiana State University (M.A.), Tom also worked on Capitol Hill as a staffer for the U.S. House of Representatives and for start-up biotechnology and large pharmaceutical companies. He and his wife have 4 children.
