Ian Rodgers is the Chief Implementing Officer at RestoringVision, where he leads global operations, program implementation, supply chain strategy, and systems integration in support of the organization’s mission to expand access to near vision correction worldwide. With more than 30 years of experience across humanitarian response, international development, disaster management, and public-private partnerships, Ian has worked extensively in complex emergencies and development contexts throughout Asia, the Middle East, Africa, the Caribbean, and the United States.
Prior to joining RestoringVision, Ian held senior leadership roles with organizations including USA for UNHCR, Save the Children, the American Red Cross, International Medical Corps, and Médecins Sans Frontières support operations. His work has spanned humanitarian operations, strategic partnerships, logistics, disaster risk reduction, innovation, and systems strengthening, including leadership during major responses to earthquakes, conflict displacement, hurricanes, and public health emergencies.
Ian has been a strong advocate for practical, scalable humanitarian models that bridge public health, private sector engagement, and operational delivery. His current work focuses on building scalable access models for vision correction through government partnerships, community health systems, workforce programs, and innovative financing mechanisms. He has particular interest in the intersection of public health commodities, humanitarian logistics, impact financing, and sustainable implementation systems.
Ian holds a Master’s degree in International Relations and Human Rights and has contributed to humanitarian simulation training and operational learning initiatives with universities and international partners globally.
