Director of New Business Development, Mercy Ships

Simone Jones is the Director of New Business Development at Mercy Ships. She has worked in the nonprofit sector as a corporate partnership liaison for the past 15 years. In her current role, Simone works with multi-national corporations world-wide to secure funds and donations in kind to fulfill Mercy Ships mission while helping companies fulfill their philanthropic goals.  Ms. Jones has extensive experience in global logistics and procurement, and has worked closely with internal teams to secure whatever is needed to fulfill Mercy Ships unique needs. She specializes in partnership acquisition, training, program and campaign development, fundraising, budgeting, stewardship, marketing and communications.

Before joining Mercy Ships, Simone worked at the Wounded Warrior Project, and for over 10 years, at the Monterey Bay Aquarium.

In her personal time, Simone enjoys traveling, cooking, reading, walking her dogs and open-water swimming. She resides in Jacksonville, FL, and is fluent in Portuguese and Spanish.
