Head of Global Product Donations– Office of Social Business Innovation / Global Impact Giving – Merck & Co., Inc. & Executive Vice President- Merck Patient Assistance Program, Inc.

Marilyn leads the strategic direction and oversight of the company’s global product donation programs. This includes responsibilities over the U.S. Patient Assistance Program (Merck PAP), where she serves as an Executive Vice President on the Merck Patient Assistance Program, Inc.’s Board. Over the past five years, her contributions, and collaborative efforts, under this U.S. based private charitable foundation, have directly impacted over a million underserved individuals across the U.S and U.S. territories with product donations valued over $7 billion. In addition, Marilyn has oversight of the Merck Medical Outreach Program, the company’s primary platform to donate its pharmaceuticals and vaccines for humanitarian aid and in support of disaster relief and emergency responses worldwide. She also has oversight of the Mectizan Donation Program (MDP) which is the longest-running private-public drug donation program for neglected tropical diseases (NTDs) serving across 62 countries. She was a “We Work for Health Champion” award honoree and she served as a Fellow in the MSD Richard T. Clark Fellowship for Global Health Program where she worked on a policy platform and a strategic framework for a sustainable succession plan for global private and public key stakeholders focused on a cure for HIV. In addition, to also having oversight of the company’s employee engagement programs, she recently also served on the Merck Women’s Network Employee Business Resource Group’s Leadership team as the co-lead of its global talent and development for its 11,000+ membership. She enjoys serving as both a Well-Being and Mind-Well Champion and is certified as a Mental Health First Aider. Marilyn graduated from Pennsylvania State University and Temple University here she holds a BA in accounting and a MBA in Finance, respectfully.
