Jonathan Spence is a senior leader within Medical Teams, building and leading the organization’s professionalization of their supply chain operations globally, with the aim to make the function a strategic and enabling partner to help deliver the strategic outcomes of the organization. After spending a decade in civil engineering sector in operations management, Jonathan has spent the last 12 years working in humanitarian relief and development and is passionate about ensuring logistics and procurement professionals are project focused, understand why their roles are crucial to programme delivery and deliver high quality support and guidance.
Jonathan has worked with Tearfund, World Vision International and Plan International in both supply chain and wider operations leadership roles around the world, and been heavily involved in major disaster responses, improving systems and processes and a contributor to many inter-agency initiatives and fora. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Business Finance and is the organization’s primary representative with the Global Logistics Cluster and Fleet Forum.
