Emanuela Chiaranda is the Associate Director, Access to Health, Sustainability for Astellas Pharma Inc.  She joined the company in June 2022 and her role comprises supporting the Access to Health (ATH), Sustainability programs which includes Astellas’ ATH donation programs and Access to Medicine Strategy.  Emanuela also works as the company’s representative for the Access to Medicine Foundation (ATMF) and the Health Progress Working Group of IFPMA.

Prior to Astellas, Emanuela worked at Americares for 19 years in the Corporate Relations team, where she fostered strong partnerships with more than 30 pharmaceutical and medical supply companies to ensure appropriate donations in support of Americares global on-going and disaster relief work.

Emanuela received a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in English and Classical Civilization, and has an B.A. Honors, Class Civ, from the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal, in South Africa where she grew up.  She currently lives in Fairfield, CT.
