Alicia Annamalay, PhD

As Director of Programs at The Max Foundation, Alicia’s work supports global access to medication, technology, and services for patients living with cancer and other critical illnesses in over 75 low- and middle-income countries. She oversees The Max Foundation’s Monitoring and Evaluation efforts and is an active member of PQMD’s Knowledge and Innovation Committee.

Prior to joining The Max Foundation in 2021, Alicia worked in global health research. She holds a Bachelor of Medical Science (Honors) and PhD in pediatric infectious disease epidemiology from The University of Western Australia. Her PhD investigated the roles of viruses and bacteria in acute lower respiratory infections in children in Africa.
