Andrew Jones

Head of Partnerships, THET
With over twenty-five years’ experience in international development, Andrew has, for the past six years, worked as THET’s Head of Partnerships. Core responsibilities have focused on the design and delivery of the UK government-funded Health Partnership Scheme which promotes partnerships between the UK health sector and health institutions in low- and middle-income countries to meet the training and education needs of the health workforce.
Through his interactions with key figures in the global health community, Andrew has been able to build on THET’s position as a global thought leader in the field of effective partnerships for workforce development. He has successfully negotiated partnership and collaboration agreements with private sector organisations and is a regular contributor to conferences and events worldwide.
Andrew is THET’s lead for the Official Relations engagement with the World Health Organization, contributing to the evolution of WHO thinking relating to the use of health partnerships for workforce development.
