Claire Hitchcock joined GSK in 2001. She leads GSK’s community partnerships programmes in the Europe and EMAP (Emerging Markets and Asia Pacific) regions, working with the businesses to implement programmes that are integral to GSK’s Global Health Strategy. She is responsible for a wide range of initiatives, including GSK’s commitment to invest 20%of profits in the world’s poorest countries back into improving healthcare infrastructure, PHASE (Personal Hygiene and Sanitation Education) and GSK’s global humanitarian response and product donations programme.

Claire has wide experience of business/community partnerships. She has held senior roles in multi-national companies- Diageo, Prudential, and IBM- as well as worked for government and nonprofit organizations. In 2012, she was proud to receive the BITC (Business in the Community) Game changer Award for her contribution to promoting responsible business.
