PQMD Welcomes CARE to Its Growing Global Health Network
Annapolis, MD –September 19, 2026 – The Partnership for Quality Medical Donations (PQMD) is proud to announce that CARE has joined the PQMD network as an NGO member, bringing decades of experience in humanitarian response and global development and a shared commitment to expanding access to quality healthcare and strengthening communities worldwide.
Working across 121 countries, CARE reached 58.7 million people in 2025 through programs addressing humanitarian crises, health, food and water, economic opportunity, education, and other critical needs. Across its work, CARE partners with communities and local organizations to respond to immediate needs while building the systems, resources, and opportunities that support long-term resilience and stability.
“We are delighted to welcome CARE to the PQMD network,” said Elizabeth Ashbourne, Executive Director of PQMD. “CARE’s deep experience working alongside communities in some of the world’s most challenging environments strongly aligns with the expertise and commitment represented across our membership. Their ability to connect humanitarian response with longer-term health and development efforts complements so much of the work already happening within our network, and we look forward to the additional opportunities their engagement will create for shared learning and coordinated approaches to complex global health challenges.”
