Chi Ugwu is the Director of Programs at MedShare International and a member of the organization’s senior leadership team, where she leads the strategy and execution of programs that expand access to healthcare in underserved communities across the United States and globally. She works across teams and partners to strengthen programs, cultivate strategic partnerships, and advance initiatives that deliver measurable, sustainable impact.

Chi brings a multidisciplinary background spanning disaster response, public health, disability services, and community-based program development. Through her work with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and other cross-sector initiatives, she has supported complex efforts requiring coordination across government, nonprofit, and community stakeholders to deliver equitable resources and strengthen systems of care. Throughout her career, she has remained committed to advancing health equity through scalable, partnership-driven solutions and a collaborative, data-informed approach to leadership. Her work centers on strengthening systems, aligning stakeholders, and improving outcomes for underserved communities.
