Tropical Storm Lorena Moving Toward Mexico; Other Storms Also Threatening

Mexico has declared a hurricane warning for its southwest Pacific coast as Tropical Storm Lorena is expected to impact the region today. Puerto Vallarta down to the port of Manzanillo may be impacted by the storm. Tropical warnings have been issued past Vallarta and down to Zihuatanjo.

Meanwhile, the U.S. National Hurricane Center is tracking other threatening storms. Tropical Storm Jerry is approaching the Leeward Islands as it is predicted to become a hurricane Thursday night or Friday. Imelda is now a tropical depression causing 6-10 inches of rain in west Texas. Another storm, Mario, is expected to become a hurricane by Friday as it travels toward the Mexican coast.

Hurricane Humberto has moved closer to Bermuda and is expected to pass just to the northwest on Wednesday night. Forecasters anticipate rainfall accumulations of 2-4 inches with hurricane-force winds.
