Joshua Walsh

Joshua joined AbbVie in 2019 as the Capability Lead for the Global Exceptional Patient Experience (EPE) group. Prior to joining AbbVie, he held positions as a Director of Qualitative Research and a Brand Strategy Consultant at agencies such as Ipsos, Kantar, Publicis Health, and Throughline Strategy, where he led global insights and strategy projects for leading healthcare companies.
During his time at AbbVie, Joshua has made significant contributions to the organization’s patient centricity initiatives. He led the revamp of AbbVie’s Patient Journey process, integrating it into the strategic brand planning process. Additionally, he played a key role in the Patient Experience Support Strategy for enterprise-critical assets within their Global Commercial Development division.
In 2021, Joshua transitioned to the role of Patient Experience Strategy & Support Lead, where he supported and executed the global patient experience strategy for multiple global launches in Immunology & Oncology. The following year, he successfully re-launched AbbVie’s Customer Intimacy & Innovation tools for commercial teams.
In 2023, Joshua joined the Corporate Responsibility & Global Philanthropy team within the Corporate Affairs group at AbbVie. In this role, he took the lead of myAbbVie Assist, a best-in-industry Patient Assistance Program. In 2024, he expanded his responsibilities as the Director of Global Patient Access programs, overseeing AbbVie’s Global Product Donations and donation strategies for independent charitable co-pay foundations.
Joshua holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts Degree in Social & Political Science from the University of Toronto, as well as a Diploma from La Universidad de las Americas in Puebla, Mexico.
