PQMD Members Participate in Neglected Tropical Disease Forum

Neglected tropical diseases (NTDs) have long-faced supply chain challenges given the nature of balancing medical needs caused by these devastating diseases with the difficulty of managing donation delivery logistics often to remote locations. Four PQMD members joined with two other pharmaceuticals companies and the logistics giant DHL, to step up efforts to solve this long-standing problem.

PQMD members GlaxoSmithKline (GSK), Johnson & Johnson, Merck, and Pfizer (along with Eisai and Merck KGaA) are members of the NTD Supply Chain Forum, where participants collaborate on logistics, both in terms of direct coordination as well as sharing of best practices, to support the commitments made as part of the London Declaration to control, eliminate and eradicate NTD’s by 2020.
