The PQMD Educational Forum explored the dynamics that influence the development of international corporate social responsibility and community investment strategies; understand the factors shaping current global health partnership models; and their impact on health product donations.
The Forum aimed the expand the capacity of organizations to work across borders globally; understand how cultural perspective influences non-governmental organization (NGO) missions and corporate social responsibility models; and mobilize financial and non-financial resources across decentralized operating platforms.
Hosting PQMD Educational Forums demonstrates PQMD’s commitment and contribution to building sustainable global health partnerships and expanding global health dialogue by way of education and outreach opportunities.
The 2011 PQMD Educational Forum provided a unique opportunity to explore the medical gifts-in-kind and corporate social responsibility environment in Europe. Forum speakers discussed the history of product donations in Europe; examined what has worked and what has not; identified the key principles that have under-girded the successes; reflected on product donations trends in Europe, particularly around present and future collaboration between multiple corporations and nongovernmental organizations working on the same programs.
The PQMD Educational Forum also offered an opportunity for presenters and participants to enjoy informal discussions in a relaxed and open environment.
