Drugmakers Donate Medicines, Millions of Dollars for Disaster Victims in Myanmar, China
(AP WIRE) TRENTON, New Jersey: Much-needed medicines, vaccines and medical supplies have begun entering disaster-ravaged areas of Myanmar and China, donated by U.S. and foreign drugmakers that also are giving millions of dollars in aid.
The initial shipments have included everything from antibiotics and first-aid supplies to nutrition supplements and drugs for diarrheal diseases.
PQMD Members Respond to Myanmar and China Disasters
The cyclone that hit Myanmar and earthquake in China have had catastrophic affects on the region and the world. The members of the Partnership for Quality Medical Donations (PQMD) are responding by providing aid, stressing the importance of appropriate donations and providing support to donors.
