Doug Fountain is Vice President for Strategy and Impact at Medical Teams International. He oversees technical program development and impact monitoring, strategic partnerships, and technology integration for MTI’s relief and development services. He’s been with Medical Teams since 2013. Previously Doug worked in Uganda from 2004-2012, helping establish nursing training and public health programs at Uganda Christian University before moving on to oversee all development and external relations for the 12,000 student university system. Doug helped develop a reforestation program in East Africa and worked over 12 years in consulting or managing substance abuse and mental health service evaluations across the United States. He holds an MPA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a BS in Political Science and Economics from the University of Oregon. He serves on other organization boards and is a founding managing editor of a peer reviewed journal for faith-based work in global health.
