Anthony Edmonds is a Sr. Director in the R&D Patient Access group at Takeda, whose objectives include enhancing access to Takeda’s innovative medicines throughout the drug development lifecycle, and to address patient access barriers through R&D capacity building. Anthony oversees Takeda’s compassionate use program and provides leadership in the company’s policies, procedures and strategy regarding patient access, including post-trial access, compassionate use, and named patient programs. Takeda’s patient access programs span several therapeutic areas, including oncology, gastroenterology, neuroscience, and rare disease (hematology, immunology, and lysosomal storage disorders).

Anthony previously had roles as a global drug development project manager and leading statistical teams for several different programs and therapeutic areas, most recently overseeing statistical support for Takeda’s vaccine programs (including dengue and norovirus). Anthony has a BS in Actuarial Science from Ball State University, and a Masters in Statistics from the University of Wisconsin. He lives in Chicago with his wife and two children.
